Fiat India has launched the updated version of the Linea T-Jet for Rs7.87lakhs for the base model (ex-showroom, Mumbai). They call it the "Power to Make the Move," based on their Make the Move campaign we saw earlier this year.
The T-jet variant of the sedan comes with a 1368cc, 16-valve petrol engine that produces 112bhp and 207Nm of torque. With this you get rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, Blue & me Bluetooth connectivity with steering mounted controls, Dual stage airbags and ABS, best in class ground clearance of 190mm, power steering wheel that is adjustable, rear arm-rests with cup holders and a 500-litre boot space.
The powerful T-Jet is said to give a mileage of about 15.7km/l. New additions are the alabaster white perforated leather interiors, chrome inserts on the dash, an audio system with a remote and the small rear spoiler. The Linea T-Jet will be available in Active, Dynamic and Emotion variants, and the FIRE petrol version comes only in Active and Dynamic. T-Jet boasts a higher performance, and even a better fuel efficiency figure than the other petrol engine. The T-Jet gets racing-ready piston that makes the mill more high performance. The torque of 207Nm is higher than any other petrol sedan in its segment, and even today the T-Jet is the only turbocharged petrol in its segment. The Linea T-Jet Emotion will get 16-inch alloy wheels too and will be available in 5 colours. The Dynamic costs Rs 8.73lakhs and Emotion Rs 9.11lakhs.
