Fiat being coy about details and name of the sedan, but it is most likely the Linea Replacement Globally!
Fiat has announced that it will world premiere a new sedan at the Istanbul Motor Show on 21st of this month. Fiat has started testing the sedan recently and the vehicle has been spied a couple of times. The Turin-based automaker was not generous in revealing the details of the new sedan. However, we are told that the vehicle is designed from scratch and will possess ‘overwhelming combination of comfort, spaciousness, efficiency and technology.’
Fiat most likely will ditch the Linea badging, considering their past line-up, Linea replaced the Marea eight years ago in 2007 and indeed Marea replaced Tempra. Conclusion? there’s always a new name. Moreover, Fiat says the vehicle is designed by the FCA (Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles) Style Centre and jointly with Tofa? R&D, one of FCA's largest research and development centers in Turkey. And it will be a‘sumptuous Italian design’!
Sales of the vehicle will begin in November in Turkey and will follow in forty countries in the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). Speaking of India, Fiat launched the facelifted Linea last year and despite the stylistic lift, Linea’s sales till now are below average. The company could introduce this sedan in the country as Linea replacement with the new 1.5-liter Multi-Jet they are reportedly producing for us. Maybe they will showcase the new sedan at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo!
