Ford has announced that it will reveal the all-new, seventh-generation Fiesta at a special 'Go Further' event in Cologne, Germany, on November 29. Mark Fields, president and CEO, Ford, and Jim Farley, executive vice president and president, Ford of Europe, will unveil the new Fiesta. Having been around for more than eight years, this immensely popular nameplate from the Blue Oval is due for a generation change.
The next-gen Fiesta’s test mules were first spotted earlier this year in June and, since then, the hatchback has been spied several times. In terms of design, the new Fiesta will not look radically different from the outgoing model, perhaps because legions of its fans worldwide love the way it looks. That said, it will be wider and might grow in size slightly as well. Speaking of the cabin, we believe that the new Fiesta will have similarities and share features with the thoroughly updated 2017 Ford EcoSport, which was recently revealed in LA.

“The new Fiesta will be our best expression of Ford – lovable fun, sporty to drive and with an unmatched personality true to the spirit of the iconic small car that has delighted generations of customers for the past 40 years,” Jim Farley said.
Possibility of the seventh-gen Fiesta being introduced in India
Popular at one point, the Fiesta nameplate needs a jump-start in India now. The sedan version of the outgoing model didn’t do any good for the automaker in the country. It remains to be seen whether Ford will launch the new Fiesta sedan here or not. Though the possibility is low.
That said, the American automaker might introduce the hatchback version of the new Fiesta this time around. In the international market, especially in Europe, the Fiesta hatchback will compete with vehicles such as the Hyundai i20, Suzuki Baleno, Volkswagen Polo and the Honda Jazz ( also known as the Fit, globally). And Indians have certainly warmed up to the concept of premium hatches since the rivals mentioned above are doing pretty well in the country. Moreover, we are sure folks in India, especially the enthusiasts, want the hatchback version of the Fiesta.
