General Motors India crosses 100,000 unit milestone

Its time for General Motors to celebrate as they crossed their high target of 100,000 unit on 27th of November 2010. The target set by company is reached a month prior to completion of financial year. The moment is historical for General Motors India, as this is the first time that company has crossed 1 lakh unit mark since its establishment.

With this big success in hand, company has marked a stunning growth of 63% between January and November 2010 compared to figures from last year. In the same period last year the company sold 61,321 units in Indian markets.

The products which own the big success marked by General Motors is none other than Chevrolet Beat and Chevrolet Cruze. Both these models have proved themselves to be a major player in their individual segments. These two models have given a respectable image to the company with their stand out performance and styling. Its not just these two models from General Motor's umbrella but also Chevrolet Spark, which has registered exponential demand in market. You talk about style, performance or fuel effeciency, Spark has it all and thus a most sought after car in Indian automobile industry.

Mr. P. Balendran who is the Vice President of GM India showed great enthusiasm in announcing their big success. He commented that this occasion is not just historical but also momentous for all General Motor India employees. He said that the success marked by the company is result of many innovative moves taken by them in recent times, which includes Chevrolet Cashless Ownership offer, increased customer outreach, innovative marketing strategies, best-in-segment cars from the 300 series and many more. He also said that the company was able to sustain this momentum by assuring best after sales services and high performance by all products.

The company will complete 100 years of its successful operations globally in a few months from now and in India, they have completed 14 years. In this short period, company has made good progress in market.
