General Motors is optimistic about improvement in production

General Motors one of the largest car manufacture of Detroit, US is currently facing a sharp decline in sells due to credit crunch in global market. Company is also opting for government bailout of auto sector in US. Although General Motors is optimistic about improvement production.

General Motors is optimistic about improvement in production figure in next quarter. According to a statement given by Jonathan Browning (head of global sales) the production in US was going at very slow rate in first quarter but this trend will not follow in second quarter and company will make some progress in coming quarter. He added that this is not a market recovery but is a matter of balancing inventory going through the production period.
