Honda Brio Amaze Compact Sedan to Launch in South Africa too

Honda that has just launched its flagship hatchback, the Brio in South Africa recently, is also considering to launch the Brio based sedan, Amaze over there, which is due for launch in the Indian market as well by the next year. Like the Brio, the South Africa-bound Brio Amaze might also be built in India only and then exported there. However, we believe that in SA the petrol run version of the vehicle will only be sold, which house the similar 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine that does its duty to South African Brio.

South African Honda Amaze is likely to get two transmission options, a 5-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission exactly like the Brio. Thailand has been the first market to receive the Brio Amaze compact sedan, India is expected to be the next, however the vehicle has been built mainly for the Asian markets, so the vehicle might go to other markets of the continent as well.

However the company officials have still not said anything on this, a report published on a South Africa based business newspaper Business Day’s website has claimed it that a sedan variant of the Brio too might be launched there by next year.
