Honda City to undergo cosmetic change, launch likely in October

Honda City sedan has no doubt is back on track, as it recorded sales of 4092 units in the month of July, grabbing the second position in the Indian car market. The first position was secured by Hyundai Verna by selling 4724 units. Hyundai Verna is available in both diesel and petrol version accompanied with many new and exciting features. But even Honda City managed to sell quite decent amount of units despite of the fact that it is only available in petrol variant. It is being rumored that the face lifted version of Honda City is expected to be launched this October.

Honda will launch the face lifted version of Honda Jazz this month, then the face lifted version of Honda Brio is slated to be launched in September or so and then Honda City in October. Season of makeover we guess!

The new Honda City will come with some changes in both exteriors and interiors. It is expected that the new Honda City will give a tough competition to Ford and Volkswagen. The latest buzz in the Indian car market is that Honda is also working on Honda City diesel and could be expected to be launched by the year 2013. As far as the new Honda City price is concerned, it is being heard that there will be no price hike, reason being the tough competition from the diesel cars in the market. The current Honda City price lands between the price range of Rs. 7,49,000 to Rs 9,89,100.
