The Honda Elevate’s entry-level variant packs just the basic equipment, skipping even an infotainment system
The Honda Elevate, the newest compact SUV on the block, is being sold in four broad variants: SV, V, VX and ZX. It gets just one petrol engine with both manual and automatic transmission options. That said, its base variant only gets the petrol-manual combination. So is it worth considering on a tight budget?

Why Consider The Elevate SV?
The Elevate SV gets more than just the basics, while also having useful touches such as all-LED lighting with DRLs, height-adjustable driver seat, keyless entry, push-button start/stop and all power windows. It covers just the basics of safety equipment like dual front airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), 3-point seatbelts for all five passengers, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages. All these features also make it our recommended variant on a tight budget if you’re keen on a modern Honda SUV and intend to accessorise it later on.

Why Skip The Elevate SV?
While Honda has provided the Elevate’s entry-level variant with more than basic comfort and safety features, it still misses out on some useful and essential items such as an infotainment system and a reversing camera. While these and a few more convenience features are available on the next-in-line V variant, the main reason to pick it would be if you want the most affordable automatic option for the Elevate, at a premium of over Rs 2 lakh.
