Honda eyes the electric car market

What everyone understands of the new genre of cars is that these are either battery operated or electric cars and hybrid cars which are eco friendly cars. These cars are vouched by the environmentalists, car admirers, government and car manufacturers because they are a bet to win over the emission concerns.

It was not soon that Nissan announced of its battery operated car soon to come that Honda, that the Japanese car marker announced their plan to launch its plug-in hybrid, a purely electric car, by 2012. As per the second largest car maker, there will be huge demand for the battery operated or electric cars in the world auto market.

From a statement given by Takanoby Ito, the Chief Executive, the electric car demand will generate soon and there is no possibility that it will not gain the momentum in the market.

Takeo Fukui and other previous CEOs of Honda stated that these environment cars are a win-win position in the auto market. The hydrogen fuel-cell cars are a great option against the no emission drive.

Nissan is coming with Nissan Leaf, next month which will be the first to produce the electric car in greater volume. They can drive to 160 km after full charge but if the battery capacity is increased than, the EVs will cost higher. As per Nissan, not everyone drives 500 km in one day.

Electric cars are better than the plug-in hybrid cars was a statement from Ito. As the battery has to be in perfect shape and fully charged to make sure that it runs better. While the Electric cars have the options of recharging it which adds to its benefit.

As per the sources, everyone is eyeing on the auto show in Los Angles on 17th November, as Honda will unveil its electric car which is said to be a revolution in the none fuel segment car. Honda is willing to launch and sell its battery operated Electric cars in California to meet the strict environment polices of the state.
