Hyundai has launched the Alcazar SUV in India from Rs 16.30 lakh to Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is available in three broad trims with eight variants in total: Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum and Platinum (O), Signature, Signature Dual Tone, Signature (O), and Signature (O) Dual Tone.

The entry-level Hyundai Alcazar undercuts the top-spec Creta by up to Rs 1.4 lakh. The difference between the petrol and diesel variants of the Alcazar is barely up to Rs 24,000. The 7-seater configuration does not come on the Platinum (O), Signature, and Signature (O) variants. The Optional variants are reserved for automatic with only six seats, with the exception of Prestige (O) Diesel automatic variant that gets seven seats. Further, only the base-spec Prestige variant is available with both seating configurations.
The 6-seater variant gets captain seats for the second row, while the 7-seater gets a 3-seater bench for the same. The second row seats come with slide and recline as well as one-touch tip and tumble functions. The third row is equipped with 50:50 split seating and reclining functions along with dedicated vents and twin USB chargers.

The Alcazar is around 200mm longer than the Creta and 40mm taller. The wheelbase has been increased by 150mm, to 2760mm. Both are equally wide, at 1790mm.
It features LED headlamps, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, electric parking brake, front row ventilated seats, air purifier, paddle shifters, powered driver’s seat, Bose premium sound system, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology, wireless charging for the first and second row (only for the six-seater variant), and cruise control.
Safety is covered by rear disc brakes, electronic stability control, hill start assist control, tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlamps, driver rearview monitor, a rear parking camera, and rear parking sensors as standard fitment. The top-end variants further get a 360-degree camera, a blind spot monitor (assists drivers in changing lanes by providing a live view of the blind spots on either side), and up to six airbags.

The Alcazar is offered with 2.0-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel powertrains, with 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmissions. It also gets three drive modes: Eco, City, and Sport as well as three traction modes: snow, sand, and mud. The automatic variants are equipped with paddle shifters.
