Hyundai to roll out 6 new cars in three years

Hyundai Motors announced on Tuesday that it is planning to launch 6 new models in the next three years. Looking at the latest trend , Hyundai has taken this decision, in order to strengthen its hold in the domestic car market.
This is not it, the company also plans to spend Rs 200 crore in next 5 years on advertising and promotions. Hyundai is also the official partner of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Arvind Saxena, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) Director Marketing and Sales quoted that starting from this year, the company is thinking on the lines of launching atleast two models every year in the coming three years.
He mentioned that the company will launch two models this year, but he did not give any details. As far as volume is concerned, after Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai is the second largest car maker in India.
Saxena further added that the company will be focusing on intensifying campaign and promotions, starting with the ICC world cup commencing on February 19, 2011.HMIL will be the the official partner for the ICC world cup, however the parent company Hyundai Motor Co will be the exclusive car partner for the global cricket body from 2011-2015.Saxena said that the company looks forward to enhancing the brand image during the world cup.
He also stated that the company is aiming at increasing its sales to 6.3 lakhs units this year in comaprision to 6 lakh units in 2010. Talking about the export front, Saxena said that last year the company witnessed a sale of 2.47 lakh units. He also stated that since the company is already present in 115 markets, therefore right now there are no plans to enter any new market.
