The styling changes are expected to be inspired by the Elantra facelift.
Hyundai launched the fifth-gen Verna in the country back in August 2017. Now, a couple of years later, a test mule of the facelifted sedan has been spotted for the first time. The test mule was, however, spotted in China. We expect Hyundai to introduce the facelift in India sometime in 2020, possibly in the first half. If that timeline is correct, then the Verna facelift will come with BSVI engines as from April 2020, all cars sold in India will have to offer BS VI engines.
The Verna facelift is expected to adopt Hyundai's new design direction, first seen on the India-bound Elantra facelift. Moreover, the spied images suggest sharp looking head and tail lamps similar to the updated Elantra. It is too early to comment if Hyundai will be adding any new features, but expect minor changes to its interior.
The Verna is currently available with four different engines: 1.4-litre petrol and diesel engines and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. It is priced between Rs 8.01 lakh and Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). To stay updated to the latest information about the Verna facelift, stay tuned to CarDekho.
