Hyundai Verna speculated to get two diesel engines

Recently we heard the news of Hyundai Verna being spotted on the Indian roads near Chennai plant. And we also have here some views from the industry experts. The speculations are about the probable engine options to appear in this stunning model for domestic market. The industry sources believe that new Hyundai Verna will  make its appearance in two distinct diesel powerterain, 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter which are efficient of smoking out a peak power of 90bhp and 115bhp respectively.

Talking about the 1.6-liter diesel engine of Hyundai Verna, is expected to sport a 4-speed Automatic Transmission in the domestic market whereas the same engine option in overseas market will come with an exclusive 6-speed automatic with less chances to appear in India.

Coming to the second expected powerterain, 1.4-liter diesel, the engine is speculated to arrive from the Hyundai i20′s hood. The engine is speculated to come mated with a high technology 6-speed manual transmission. With this combination will come the basic variants of the upcoming new Hyundai Verna range.

The car is expected to get its official launch in the month of April 2011 and the experts also say that it might offer the option of two petrol engines capable of churning out 100bhp of top power. The car will straight gun the likes of Volkswagen Vento and Honda City.

If Hyundai introduces a wide range of engine options in its Hyundai Verna series, it is so sure that the demand of existing Hyundai Verna will decline at a large scale. For now no official disclosure of the car model is made by the company. We expect the revelation of these new variants of Hyundai Verna to come soon in market. The availability of wide range of offerings will make the model desirable in domestic market.
