Hyundai witness a growth of 9.5 per cent for June, 2014

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) domestic sales for the month of June, 2014 stood at 50,518 units. During this period, the manufacturer retailed 33,514 units in the domestic market as compared to 30,610 units in June 2013. The automaker also exported 17,004 vehicles. When compared from the sales figure of June 2013, the company witnessed a growth of 9.5 per cent. The Japanese manufacturer recently touched a magical figure of selling more than 90,000 units of Grand i10 in the last eight months.
“Hyundai with a volume of 33,514 units has grown by 9.5% over last year on the phenomenal success of Xcent, Grand and Santa Fe. With the extension of excise duty benefit, we hope to maintain the growth in volume while strengthening our product portfolio and improving channel efficiencies,” said Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP- Sales and Marketing, HMIL.
While in terms of exports, Hyundai witnessed a fall of 29.3 per cent. In the June 2013, the company shipped 24,055 units while in June 2014, the automaker exported 17,004 units. The cumulative sales (addition of domestic sales and exports) stood at 50,518 units while last year it was 54,665 units. Due to decrease in exports this month, the cumulative sales were down by 7.6 per cent.
The automaker has also introduced an exclusive scheme - ‘Pride of India’ designed especially for India’s Central and State Government, PSUs along with Public Sector Banks employees. Through this amazing offer, the employees can now avail additional benefit upto Rs. 30,000 depending upon various models.
In order to enhance its after sales, Hyundai also introduced Free Monsoon Car Check up Camp which provides additional maintenance of Hyundai cars during monsoon season. One can avail the free Monsoon Check Up at the authorized dealership from June 16 to August 31st.
At the Hyundai's authorized service station, customers bringing their cars to monsoon service camp can avail an extensive 22-point check up. Apart from the extensive multi point check up, the service also includes a comprehensive check-up for oil level and leaks, engine, transmission, steering, brake, tyre conditions, windshield wiper blade and washer motor operation and clutch.
Hyundai being the official sponsor of 2014 FIFA Football World Cup is also organizing many fan base activities across the world. At the FIFA carnival, the Korean manufacturer will also showcase their leading product like the i20, i10, 2014 Sante-Fe, 2014 ix35/Tucson, Genesis along with Kia products.
