Japanese SUV and light commercial vehicle maker, Isuzu that introduced and started bookings for the MU-7 SUV and D-Max pickup truck (single and double cab version) in India a month back in India, has today officially launched the vehicles in India. While the Toyota Fortuner, Honda CR-V and Pajero Sport Competitor, Isuzu MU-7 SUV is priced at Rs 23.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Hyderabad), the single and double cab versions of D-Max pick up are priced at Rs 6.87 lakh and Rs 8.07 lakh respectively.
Initially, both the vehicles will be brought to India via CBU from Thailand, but the company is in the process to set up its facility at Chittor District, Andhra Pradesh, so the prices are likely to go down when the production starts in India.
The newly introduced MU-7 is a global product, which is even longer and spacious than that of the Toyota Fortuner. The Isuzu MU-7 derives its power from a variable-geometry turbocharged 3.0-litre common-rail diesel engine, which produces the maximum power output of 160bhp along with the peak torque of 360Nm mated to a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic transmission.
When it comes to features, the MU-7 has a lot to offer to its buyers, it has leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, an audio system with a subwoofer and 10-speakers and various others. Stay tuned to CarDekho for all the latest updates on all the upcoming cars. Cheers!
