Jaguar will be launching the F-TYPE in India, on the 8th of July. We had mentioned a couple of months ago about this launch, however we just got a confirmation on this. The launch will happen in Mumbai, as the company will also have a customer launch at a Mumbai suburb five-star.
The F-TYPE will be available with a V6S and a V8S. The V6 S will be powered by a 3.0-litre V6 that will churn out 375bhp of power and V8 S will produce 489bhp. The V6 S and the V8 S will cost about Rs 1.3-1.5 crores (ex-showroom, Mumbai) without octroi. The F-TYPE competes with the Porsche 911 when one compares apple to apple.
The V6 S has mechanical limited slip diff, 50:50 weight distribution, active exhaust with dual pipes, and ofcourse V6 mill. The V8 S gets electronic slip diff, 51:49 weight distribution, active exhaust with quad pipes. This is the first sportscar form the British marquee in the last 38 years, since the time last ever E-TYPE rolled out. This is the comeback sportscar for Jaguar, as the company has returned to a segment where it started off. To more about the F-TYPE, click here.
