The C-X17 has been created as a design study to introduce Jaguar’s new aluminium architecture. This will be the new Jaguar crossover, which could be called as the XQ or the Q. Last time around, the company had showcased the C-X15 concept at the last Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011. This time it is the C-X17. This will be an all-wheel drive and will be focused more towards performance than off roading. This will be more of a soft-roader. Land Rover had showcased the DC100 Concept Defender, which is slated for a launch in 2015 and this time it will be the hybrids that will make their way to the show.
The concept illustrates the diversity of vehicles that could be produced using this architecture, which underpins the innovative future of the Jaguar brand. Jaguar will also display its newly introduced production models at the Frankfurt Motor Show. These will include the recently launched ‘R’ performance models – the XJR and XFR-S – as well as the XF Sportbrake and highly-acclaimed F-TYPE. Expect the F-TYPE Coupe to also be shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The Jaguar Land Rover is also working on the 3 Series competition, which will be the company’s entry-level vehicle.
