With just a couple of days back, the Lamborghini Huracan was globally unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and now it is being shipped to Indian shores for showcasing at different cities. Priced at Rs 3.42 Crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi), the Huracan replaces Lamborghini's best-selling car Gallardo.
With 14,022 units produced, the Gallardo is the most successful Lamborghini model ever made. During its ten-year production run, it took the brand into a completely new dimension. In true Lamborghini tradition, the successor to the Gallardo also takes its name from the world of bullfighting: Huracán was a fighting bull of the Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed who fought in August 1879 in Alicante.
Powered by furious 5.2-litre, V10 engine, the car achieves a 100kmph from standstill in just 3.2seconds with electronically limited top-speed of 312kmph. Talking about the performance, Huracan belts out maximum output of 610bhp and peak torque of 560Nm. Lamborghini's latest invention of "Iniezione Diretta Stratificata" helps in achieving better mileage figure without compromising with the power and torque.
The company is hosting special showcasing at the Four Season Hotel in Worli, Mumbai followed by the preview in Delhi.
