Lamborghini to Turn 50 in Style, 2013 Event Calendar Revealed

The name that describe what a supercar is, Lamborghini is soon to turn 50. The brand name that knows nothing but perfection and is used to doing everything in a grand way, will celebrate its golden jubilee next year with a series of events, calendar for which was disclosed recently.
During the Quail and Concorso Italiano, the two exclusive events for vintage car enthusiasts, where Lamborghini made a debut of the Urus SUV Concept and Sesto Elemento trackday hyper car, company President and CEO, Stephan Winkelman unveiled the logo that has been designed for the 50th anniversary celebrations. A website, ‘www.lamborghini50.com’ has also been launched which will run till the end of 2013, keeping the owners of supercars and fans informed with updates, information about the events etc.
The Celebrations will be held in Italy as well as various other places and will begin in May 2013, during the same week which marks the 50th year since the company’s establishment. A Grand tour is planned which will run through Italy and will be the biggest Lamborghini rally in the history. From May 7th to May 11th, the rally will cover nearly 1,200kms of roads of Italy and will include cars from all around the world. Participating in the event will be historic GTs to the futuristic supercars of today. The rally is to begin from Milan, the fashion capital of Fashion and design, starting May 7th. On the closing day, a procession of cars will head from Bologna to Lamborghini’s factory in Sant’ Agata Bolognese.
Lamborghini has also decided to donate 10% of the sponsorship revenue to a fund that has been established to help rebuild religious, social and cultural centers that were damaged when the earthquake hit Emilia-Romagna in May this year. Lamborghini remains strongly attached to its original roots and this donation is tribute to the same. Following next year will also be a renewal of the association between Lamborghini and City of Rome after 2 years. Aventador was the last launch that took place in the Italian capital city.
Founded in 1963, Automobili Lamborghini has come a long way from being an Italian car marker to becoming a global player, with products that are not just any supercars, but with Aventador, Murcielago and the likes, counted amongst the world’s best.
