    Leaked Honda City Brochure Spills All Details

    Top ZX variant to be available with CVT transmission only, studded with many segment first features

    Update - February 14, 2017: The 2017 Honda City has been launched, with prices starting at Rs 8.50 lakh

    Honda will launch the City facelift in India on Feb 14, 2017, and the car's brochure with all details like features and variants has leaked online. Honda has already uploaded some information about the City facelift on its official site like fuel efficiency figures and key features, and you may have already read about it in our previous news. Here's more information that the leaked brochure discloses and confirms.

    Variant details - As reported by us earlier, the City facelift will be available in 5 variants: S, SV, V, VX and ZX. We had also mentioned that the S variant would be available with the petrol engine only, and that news is confirmed now. Also, the V and VX variants in the petrol-powered Honda City facelift will offer buyers a choice of automatic or manual transmission. The top ZX variant will be available with the automatic transmission only.

    Engine-Transmission – The 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engines are carried forward from the pre-facelift version. The specs for the following are as follows:

    Petrol engine

    Displacement – 1.5-litre

    Maximum power – 119PS

    Maximum torque – 145Nm

    Transmission – 5MT and CVT with paddle shifters

    Diesel engine

    Displacement – 1.5-litre

    Maximum power – 100PS

    Maximum torque – 200Nm

    Transmission – 6MT

    Engine & Transmission Outgoing Honda City 2017 Honda City
    i-VTEC with MT 17.8 kmpl 17.4 kmpl
    i-VTEC with CVT 18 kmpl 18 kmpl
    i-DTEC with MT 26 kmpl 25.6 kmpl

    The output of the engines is the same as before however there is a 0.4kmpl fuel efficiency drop in the manual transmission version of both the petrol and diesel engines. The reason for the change is still unknown.

    Features – Noteworthy standard features revealed by the brochure are:

    Power adjustable door mirrors

    Power windows

    Dual airbags ABS with EBD

    ISOFIX compatible rear seats

    LED DRLs

    8.9cm LCD screen audio system

    Other variant-wise significant features are:

    2017 Honda City V, VX and ZX – New 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with turn-by-turn navigation, 1.5 GB media memory, MirrorLink smartphone connectivity, voice recognition and a rear-view camera

    2017 Honda City ZX and VX - Leather upholstery, LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, 16-inch diamond cut alloys and electric sunroof

    2017 Honda City ZX additional features - LED taillights, boot lid mounted spoiler with LED stop lamp and LED lights for the rear license plate illumination, automatic headlamps, automatic wipers and LED cabin lights, side and curtain airbags

    2017 Honda City V additional features - 15-inch alloys

    2017 Honda City SV and all higher variants – Cruise Control, automatic climate control and rear AC vents

    looks like there no led projector head lamp available yet, that may be the shortfall, since these days even maruthi ignis has projector head lamp !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
