The Japanese luxury brand Lexus will finally make it to India, but not before 2013. Two saloons and one SUV are expected to see an India launch. The nod of confirmation was given by none other than Toyota Motor Corporation executive Vice-president Yukitoshi Funo. Lexus LS and Lexus GS are the two luxury saloons followed by a Lexus SUV, RX, not necessarily in the order though. All three Lexus cars are expected to make a powerful entry to send the shivers down the spine in the existing luxury line-up. Directly in the line of threat will be the two cars from the leading manufacturers from the luxury segment. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 3-series are the potential rivals for the upcoming cars.

Kazuo Ohara, the global incharge for Lexus cars has been focusing on the key areas for the sales of luxury cars. What more, the results came back positive. Quite popular in the USA and its home country, Toyota is pinning high hopes for the Lexus brand in the high-paced luxury car segment.
