Luxury cars goes high in demand in Indore

Indore has emerged as one of the major cities who have witnessed a rise in demand of the best selling luxury cars. Recently, Jaguar Land Owner opened its first dealership in Indore to expand the foot print of Jaguar cars in India. Other high-end luxury brands like Audi, Mercedes and BMW have their dealerships satiating the luxury appetite of the city residents for some time now. Last four months have seen a sale of 128 cars from these luxury car brands, in Indore. According to the statistics available from the RTO, Audi has surpassed the sales of BMW. Elated by the response of Indore, Audi is planning on opening a new dealership in Bhopal by early next month in order to maintain its position ahead of BMW in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

The President, Gaurav Anand, of Audi cars’ dealer Anand cars mentioned that before the first showroom came into existence there were only 10 Audi cars in Indore and the showroom has sold around 75 cars in the first four and a half months. He also indicated that Audi holds a share of 57% in the luxury car segment of Madhya Pradesh and the company is sure of maintaining this figure. Mr. Anand added that with the opening of Bhopal’s dealership the company is sure to see a rise in the market share. On the other hand, Ananth Sharman, Vice-president – operations of Infinity cars that deal BMW in Indore states that owing to the growth of 61 percent in the first three months of the year in terms of sales, BMW remains to be on top in the luxury segment in Madhya Pradesh.

He added that the luxury cars have always been the imagination of the business class people but now people those who have turned wealthy within their own generation are also drifting toward luxury cars. According to car-makers this section of society that spans across doctors, MNC executives, real estate business people and teachers holds a lot of promise for the future of luxury cars in the state. Similar increase in the luxury car sales has been witnessed by Mr. Rahul Hasija as well who is the dealer of Mercedes cars in Indore. The recent boost in the luxury cars sales has been the direct result of the latest cut in the interest rates announced by the RBI.
