Maruti India speculate 25% hike in sales revenue

Maruti Suzuki India, India’s largest car maker yesterday commented that this fiscal, the company is expecting to mark a jump of 25 per cent in the sales revenue. This increase by the company will amount to Rs 38,000 crore.
The company was not enthusiastic about the vehicles sales growth rate which is expected to fall by 12-14% in he running fiscal year as against the 27% achieved so far.
Addressing the issue, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) chief financial officer Ajay Seth commented that so far the company has attracted a good demand in the market and first three quarters led to strong growth by them but for the running quarter, the company has to see February and March. He also stated that the result from this quarter is expected to be the same. He then strongly commented that Maruti will surely reach a jump of 25 per cent in sales revenue this fiscal.
MSI disclosed a figure of Rs 30,119.77 crore as the total revenue for 2009-10. During the beginning nine months, the company marked a hike of 26.33 per cent in its revenue which amounted to Rs 27,310.35 crore as against the Rs 21,617.65 crore in last fiscal.
On questioning about the 2011-12 expectations of the company, Seth commented that the Auto industry has marked a progress of 12-14% in the passenger vehicles segment and the company will progress in symmetry with the same.
In the period of April to December the company marked a hike of 26.91% in the passenger vehicles segment against 7,30,943 units. Seth however denied to comment anything on the next fiscal. He said that for coming fiscal, the company has to consider a few factors which includes revised excise duty, liquidity condition, interest rates' movements and rising commodity prices.
