The launch of Maruti made it clear that the company wants to change the image of being a manufacturer for the common man and looks forward to leaving a mark in the luxury car segment. Maruti is trying hard to achieve its goal, which is cleary evident with the launch of its new car Maruti Kizashi recently. Maruti on the other hand has received mixed reviews for its new car Maruti Kizashi.

One of the buyers from Bangalore mentioned that ever since Maruti stepped into the Indian market it has been known for manufacturing the economical, small and compact cars like Maruti 800 or Maruti Alto. Though Maruti is tyring to change its image with its new venture Maruti Kizashi but because of its common man car manufacturer image, people are a bit apprehensive in spending big bucks on the brand. He further explained that companies who have already created a niche for themselves in the luxury section not only in India but across the world like Skoda or Honda, will definitely get an edge over Maruti specifically in luxury car segment. Another buyer from Delhi showed the same concern over the brand. On the contrary there are customers who have shown great anticipation for the car way ahead its launch, and are appreciating the efforts of their oldest and loyal brand Maruti.

Price also seems to be hindrance for Maruti Kizashi, which is priced between Rs. 16.50 - 17.50 lakh for its two variants on offer, the sporty yet elegantly designed Kizashi, is powered by a 2.4 litre petrol engine, namely the J24B engines from Suzuki's J-series of power-plants. This luxury sedan is capable of putting out 185 bhp and 230 Nm torque. It is available in both six-speed manual and six speed continuously variable transmission, the CBU is capable of racing from 0-100km/h in just 7.8 seconds flat. All this makes Maruti Kizashi a great deal, Maruti is known for its dedication towards serving its customers and has been constantly bringing something new for them. It has catered to the needs of the common man and now it looks forward to achieving great heights in the luxury car segment.
