India's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India has today rolled out the limited edition version of the Eeco called the Eeco smiles at a starting price of Rs 3.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). This shows that even the market lead MSI to have not been affected by the economic slowdown and the poor market conditions. A few days back we have seen MSI offering the Swift diesel version with no waiting period, while offering discounts by up to Rs 45,000 on Ritz.
The Limited edition Eeco Smiles has however received only cosmetic updates, mechanically the remains all the same. While on the outside, the limited edition Eeco receives wheel covers, mud flaps and 'Smiles' Stickers on the side profiles and rear, inside the cabin it now sports a new double DIN music system with USB, new doormats and dual tone seat covers.
For all the above mentioned features, a car buyer will have to pay an extra sum of Rs 9,490, which is indeed not a bad deal. Maruti Suzuki Eeco comes powered by a 1.2-litre petrol motor engine that churns out the maximum power output of 73bhp and 101Nm of peak torque, returning an impressive mileage of around 15kmpl. The vehicle is also available in CNG kit option, which promises to return a mileage of 20km/kg.
