Maruti Suzuki Sales in June 2011

Sales Analysis for the current year have brought Maruti Suzuki India into lime light which has recorded sales of 80,298 cars in June 2011, this figure also encompass export of 10,278 cars.  Such an outraged figure of  Maruti Suzuki sales mark Maruti India's flagship in the Indian auto market. As per the past figures, Maruti India has recorded sale of 88091 cars in June 2010 however this year sales have followed a downward trajectory counting to 80298 in June 2011, thus Maruti India has faced a loss of 8.8% this year in June.

As per the reports, A1 segment has registered the sales of 1823 in June 2011 whereas in June 2010 it accounted to 2090, similarly, A3 segment also demonstrated a fall of 60.4% however, in A2 segment sales were ramped by 2.3% accounting to 52599 in June 2011 as compare to 51418 in June 2010. In A4 segment, Maruti Kizashi was launched this year only and it accounted to a count of 32. Total Passenger cars sold in A segment are 57653 showing a decline of 6.4% from the count of June 2010 which was 61589.

Domestic sales in B and C segment also displayed a fall from 72812 in June 2010 to 70020 in June 2011 thereby registering a loss of 3.8%. Export sales also accounted to less figure counting to only 80298 in June 2011 as compared to the figure of 2010: 88091.

Probable reasons for this fall in sales may be the 10.5 days long strike at the company's Manesar facility that has halted the production or may be the planned maintenance shutdown at the company's Gurgaon facility (20June to 25June 2011). Planned Shutdown at Manesar facility started on 27 June 2011 and it will continue till 2 July 2011.Maruti India is also going to unveil its upgraded version of Maruti Swift soon in India. Maruti cars in India  are Maruti 800, Maruti A-Star, Maruti Alto, Maruti Eeco, Maruti Grand Vitara, Maruti Gypsy, Maruti Kizashi, Maruti Omni, Maruti Ritz, Maruti Swift Dzire, Maruti Swift, Maruti SX4, Maruti Wagon R and Maruti Zen Estilo.
