Swift has the longest waiting period of 45 days in Pune.

Longest wait time for both Ford car stands at 45 days in Bengaluru.

There are a fair few options to choose from in the midsize hatchback segment such as the Maruti Suzuki Swift or the Hyundai Grand i10 or even the Ford Freestyle crossover. And if you fancy buying one, you might have to wait for as long as 45 days! To help you plan your purchase better, here’s a list of waiting periods for all three of them across 20 cities:

Maruti Suzuki Swift: Swift buyers in Pune will have to wait for 45 days to get their hands on India's bestselling midsize hatchback. Only those in Surat have a chance at getting one the same day, while buyers in Chandigarh need to wait for only seven days and those in Patna for 15 days. However, for the remaining cities, the Swift commands an average waiting period of 4 weeks till delivery.

Ford Figo: The recently facelifted hatchback appears to have an average waiting period anywhere between 15 days to a month. Bengalureans have the longest waiting period of 45 days to get a Figo. However, buyers in Delhi, Gurugram, Lucknow, Faridabad and Indore do stand a chance to get one on the same day of purchase.

Ford Freestyle: Being a Figo-based cross-hatchback, the Freestyle has similar waiting periods. The longest wait to get one is 45 days in Bengaluru and Pune. Buyers in Delhi, Lucknow, Faridabad and Indore, however, could drive one off the dealer’s lot on the same day of purchase. Meanwhile, the average waiting period in other cities ranges from 10 days to a month.

Hyundai Grand i10: Of all the models in this list, the Grand i10 is readily available in most cities. There is no waiting period to get a new one in Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Ghaziabad, Patna, Coimbatore and Indore. Those in Chandigarh have the longest waiting period of one month while the rest can get it delivered anytime between one to three weeks.
