Maruti SX4 diesel version soon to be on its way to showrooms

Maruti SX4 diesel version before its official launch has been sneaked on the Indian roads. The diesel version of the car was spotted near Hubli, Karnataka. It is expected that the price for the same will be revealed in the later part of the month.
The new sedan's demo was spotted in Hubli. The new car will greatly differ from the petrol version as the diesel version will possess DDiS and ZDi. However, not much differences could be spotted from Maruti SX4 petrol version.

Maruti Suzuki will adorn the sedan with the outsourced Fiat engine 90 bhp, 1.3 multi jet diesel which is also loaded in Fiat Linea and the newly introduced Tata Manza. As per the sources, the Maruti SX4 diesel version is expected to be 70kg lighter. The light weight will help the sedan in delivering better economy and fuel performance.

However, the Fiat sourced engine is a strategic decision which is also powered in Maruti Swift and Maruti Swift Dzire but they also come with Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT).
In India diesel cars own a great potential in the mid size segment. Maruti SX4 will face major competition from the diesel version of Volkswagen Vento. As per the experts the undisputed king of the Indian automotive market will have to play the cards right with the new sedan to score good in the specific segment. The rumours are doing the rounds that it will be Rs 1 lakh less expensive from its arch rivals.
