Maruti to come up with global car models

Maruti India has stated that presently the Indian auto giant is developing two new cars. The hatchback ruler plans that one of the car will be rolled out in India and the other one will also see the dawn in the international auto markets.

As per I.V. Rao, the Managing Executive Officer (engineering) of Maruti India said that the Indian auto company's engineers are developing new car model which will be introduced internationally. Apart from the Indian auto market, the new car will also cater to the other overseas auto markets such as Japan, Europe and others. Other than this, the Indian auto giant is also working on giving a full makeover to an existing car model. The new version of the existing car will be launched in the domestic auto market by next year.

However, Mr Rao did not throw any light on the further development, it is speculated that Maruti Suzuki India is coming up with car models like Maruti R3 and Maruti YE3. Rumour has it that, Maruti R3 is a multi utility vehicle which is based on concept exhibited last year, however Maruti YE3 is 600 cc car which will be coming at Maruti 800's position.

While there are various other developments happening in the Maruti's stable in the beginning of this month, Maruti launched its much awaited car Maruti Kizashi the first premium luxury car which is yelling the auto giants expansion plans in other segments. Other than the luxury sedan, the company at a very right time launched Maruti SX4 diesel version as the petrol prices are rising it is a great opportunity to accelerate its sales.
