Maruti to replace fuel pump gaskets in 1 lakh A Stars

It's time for a 'domestic recall' following global auto major's recall. The first and only company so far, is Maruti Suzuki Ltd. The company will replace fuel pump gaskets of Maruti A-Star. The problem in fuel pump gaskets has come only in a certain lot of car that was made till August 22, 2009. This means around one lakh Maruti A-Star would get new fuel gaskets.

Due to this fuel pump gasket problem, leakage problem occurs and there is a need to replace them. According to reliable media sites, the gaskets will be replaced free of cost and dealers are calling to the customers who owns one of the car from that lot. However, the company has informed that the problem was not reported from any customer and was part of a proactive step by the company itself. The five-door hatchback comes loaded with airbags, ABS and other standard features.
