The top 3 models were from Maruti itself that alone accounted for over 47,000 units sales
Following the festive season, car sales in India faced a significant drop. But in November 2023, as usual, most of the best-selling cars belonged to Maruti, with the Tata Nexon and Tata Punch securing positions within the top 5. Here’s a look at the detailed sales report of India’s top 15 best-selling car models.

The Tata Nexon and Tata Punch secured the fourth and fifth positions, respectively. Tata sold almost 15,000 units of the Nexon (including the Nexon EV) and over 14,000 units of the Tata Punch. Despite a decline in the Nexon's monthly sales, it still outperformed the Maruti Brezza by 2,000 units.

The Maruti Brezza slipped down to sixth as its month-on-month (MoM) sales went down by over 2,500 units.

Maruti’s premium hatchback, the Baleno, dropped from fourth to seventh, as its MoM sales declined by over 3,600 units. The Baleno also faced a YoY loss of 38 percent.
- The next best-selling car of November 2023 was the Maruti Ertiga which crossed the sales of 12,800 units, though facing losses in both MoM and YoY sales.

The Mahindra Scorpio surpassed the sales of 12,000 units in November 2023 recording a strong YoY growth of 89 percent. It’s important to note that these figures include the sales of both Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic.

The Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos both crossed the 11,500 units’ sales mark , with the Creta outperforming its segment rival by 130 units.

Demand for the Hyundai Venue has remained consistent in terms of MoM and YoY comparisons. The sub-4m SUV retailed more than 11,000 units in November 2023.
- Despite a loss in month-on-month (MoM) sales, the Maruti Eeco still surpassed the sales mark of 10,000 units.

Another Maruti in the list, the Fronx, this time could not surpass the sales mark of 10,000 units and has recorded a loss of nearly 1,500 units in MoM sales.
