Maruti XL6 CNG vs Ertiga CNG - Price, Features, And Specifications Compared

Both of them are the same MPV underneath but are yet made for different purposes

With Maruti launching the XL6 CNG, the carmaker now has three CNG MPVs on sale alongside the Ertiga and Eeco. The XL6 is basically a crossover-looking version of the regular Ertiga, but is also positioned as a slightly more premium offering. The main difference is that the XL6 has captain seats for the second row, while the Ertiga gets a three-seater bench for the same. 

Now, here’s a quick comparo between the CNG versions of both the MPVs to shed light on the other differences. 

What’s The Price Difference?

The XL6 is available only in a single Zeta CNG variant, while the Ertiga can be had in two - VXI and ZXI. Between the ZXI and Zeta, the difference is Rs 70,000.

Any Feature Differences?

Yes. Let’s take a look at that: 

Both the MPVs get automatic AC, push button start-stop, a 7-inch touchscreen system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and ESP with hill hold. For Rs 70,000 more, you get LED headlamps and fog lamps, bigger 16-inch alloys, cruise control, two more airbags, and a rear parking camera. These features add more to the daily convenience and ease of drive. 

Different Powertrains?

No. Both the Ertiga CNG and XL6 CNG share their engines and a five-speed manual transmission. In fact, their claimed fuel efficiency figures are also the same.

For Rs 70,000 extra, you can get a more stylish-looking MPV with more premium and convenient features. Both of them lose out on the boot capacity since the CNG kit has been added. It all comes down to if you want a six seater or a seven seater.
