McLaren's Special Operations division will showcase two of its unique offerings, the P1 hypercar and the recently launched MSO 650S Spider at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California later this month.

Build to stand out from the 170 P1s built so far, the unique P1 wears Stirling Grey metallic paint, with silver-finished aluminum radiator grilles up front tucked under a gloss carbon fiber bumper, chosen by a North American customer. Around the engine bay and inconel exhaust there's a 24 carat gold heatshield, the twin-element rear wing is finished in a combination of Stirling Grey and bare carbon fiber, while the Satin Nickel-finish Stealth Pack adds to the over-all stance. On the inside, the cockpit is draped in a combination of Alacantra and carbon fibre. It gets carbon fibre racing seats with a four-point harness. The upholstery gets Stone Grey binding and stitching, and also satin nickel air vents.

On the other side, the unique 650S Spider has been created by the Special Operations division in partnership with McLaren Newport Beach and McLaren Automotive Design Director Frank Stephenson. The car can be distinguished by a Cerulean Blue body color, contrasting the satin carbon fiber detailing on the front bumper, side air intakes and the rear bumper's central area and diffuser. This new car rides on 20-inch alloy wheels, and receives chrome exhaust finishers. In terms of interior, it gets carbon black leather upholstery with contrasting blue stitching, MSO branded carbon fibre sill panels and several other bells and various other tweaks, unlike the standard version.

The manufacturer recently announced the MSO 650S for production, therefore showcasing an example bearing the McLaren Special Operations treatment, will provide the much-required publicity to it. Along with these special edition models, McLaren will also unveil the P1 GTR design concept at the motoring event.
