Mercedes Benz working on new AMG mill

Mercedes Benz the luxury German craftsman is introducing a new V8 motor for the company's AMG segment along with recently launched of V8 the twin turbocharged motor.

Mercedes Benz is currently working on the 5.5 litre V8 which is not only being used in the SLK55 roadster but also in the C55, C-Class saloon. The new engine developed by one of the best in the auto industry is expected to generate 422 hp of maximum power which is more than 62 hp generated in SLK55. The new technologies such as a cylinder cut-off mechanism will help in improving the fuel consumption however it will still send a larger help of power to the automobile's rear wheels.

As per the industry sources, the soon to be launched C55 AMG saloon and the Black Series version (expected to launch soon) will sport the new technology 5.5 litre motor, the four door C63 AMG saloon which will sustain the 6.2 litre V8.

Back home in India, Mercedes Benz has recently declared that it has registered a tremendous growth of 80 per cent in 2010. December month marked the highest growth in terms of sales. Looking at the accelerating trend the company was able to achieve, it is all set to continue the company's growth by introducing a complete profile of market winning cars for customers choice and also by increasing the sales and service network especially by entering the B list cities of India.

The company is expanding its footprints in India as recently it stamped on an agreement with Synfera to establish one of the biggest paint shop in the company's manufacturing plant. As per the industry experts, the company will invest Rs 700 crore for the car paint shop. Well it seems Mercedes Benz is planning big to regain its number one position from its arch rival BMW.
