Mercedes plans aggressively after posting growth figures in India

Mercedes in India is again in the top gear in India. The luxury car maker has again gained it top position in the luxury car market again in this year. Mercedes in India, is a popular brand name which lost its the numero uno position to BMW. But the luxury car maker Mercedes regained its momentum by launching new cars and using better marketing techniques to position it back to where it started.
Suhas Kadlaskar, the director for the local unit in Corporate affairs said that, the auto giant to increase its market share in India is doubling in its production capacity. In the Pune manufacturing facility, the company will start second shift which will produce upto 10,000 units per annum. Mercedes Benz India Pvt Ltd., is an established brand from Daimler AG group. The company hopes to start up with greater investment, also enhancing the capacity of its production unit and on the human resource. The growth in the luxury car segment is credited to the growing Indian economy which is creating millionaires in India. As per the reports, it is being said that the luxury car maker will be investing Rs 350 crore in the Chakan manufacturing plant in Pune.
Wilfried Aulbur, the Managing Director and Chief Executive at Mercedes-Benz India said that, it has been two years the company started its production facility and the company has already extended the first shift capacity crediting it to the high demand for its vehicles. He further stated that the company will now be shifting to a permanent two-shift model operation in the production unit in Pune.
The luxury car makers Mercedes-Benz accounted hike of 78.5 per cent in sales from April to November month in this fiscal year which is 3827 units. The company hopes rise in its sale as the economy is swiftly recording sales. Mercedes also plans to expand the CKD (completely knocked down) manufacturing in India from the year 2013 after the work will start in the paint shop.
Mercedes-Benz in India rules the luxury car market with its 11 car models Mercedes-Benz M-Class, Mercedes-Benz CL-Class, Mercedes-Benz CLS Class, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, Mercedes-Benz New C-Class, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Mercedes-Benz SL Class, Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and Mercedes-Benz R-Class. These cars are well know nfor its luxury and sheer driving pleasure.
