Mercedes-Benz India continues strong growth performance in April 2011

Mercedes-Benz India continued its strong growth which it witnessed in the best ever First Quarter. The company’s sales numbers for April 2011 notched-up to 537 units, an increase of 67% over April 2010 (April 2010: 321 units)
Driving this strong growth are the company’s best sellers, the C-Class that registered a 72% growth by clocking 253 units (April 2010: 147 units) and the flagship E-Class which grew by 42% at 178 units (April 2010:125 units). The M-Class also continued its popularity run with total of 58 units for the month of April 2011 (April 2010: 10 units). Mercedes-Benz India also grew by 67% clocking 2670 units in the period of January-April 2011 as compared to January-April 2010.
Mr. Peter T Honegg, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India commented, “The growing preference amongst customers for a premium brand like Mercedes-Benz reiterates our faith in our product offering and brand value. Our customers appreciate the Passion, Excitement and Fascination that are associated with Mercedes-Benz brand and products.”
Mercedes-Benz India sold 537 units in the moth of April thus recording a strong growth of 67% over April 2010 (April 2010: 321 units). The C-Class & the E-Class have yet again emerged as clear favorites of the Indian luxury car buyer. The company sold 2670 units posting a 67% growth as compared to the same period in 2010 (January-April 2010: 1603 units).
