Mercedes-Benz India launches CLA 45 AMG at INR 68.50 Lakh

Another AMG is here! After introducing the GL63 AMG and ML63 AMG, Mercedes-Benz has now launched the CLA 45 AMG in India at INR 68.50 Lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). Underpinned by the A and B-Class hatchbacks' Modular Front Architecture (MFA) platform, CLA 45 AMG is the performance-oriented version of the sub-compact sedan CLA-Class, which will be making its way to the Indian roads early next year. The car follows the CBU (Complete Built Unit) route in India and arrives as a direct import from Germany.

Powering the CLA 45 AMG is the world's most powerful production 4-cylinder engine i.e 2.0-litre, twin turbo four-pot mill that churns out 355 bhp of maximum power and 450 Nm of peak torque. The force is transferred to all- four-wheels via Mercedes’ 4-MATIC technology through an AMG Speedshift 7-speed transmission. With these power specs., the car sprints 0-100 kmph in just 4.6 seconds and keeps accelerating until it reaches its electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph.

The latest entrant in the AMG line-up comes equipped with three driving modes, namely M- Momentary Mode, S - Sport Mode, and C – Controlled Efficiency mode. In terms of equipment, the car offers an array of features including nine airbags, adaptive brake with hold function & attention assist, ESP, climate control seats, rear park assist, touch screen, steering mounted controls and shift pedals.

The CLA 45 not only take on the likes of the Audi S4, but will also also go up against the likes of the luxury saloons and SUVs in the same price bracket.
