Mercedes-Benz India To Hike Car Prices From January 2020

The prices are set to increase by up to 3 per cent and they will come into effect from the first week of January 2020

Mercedes-Benz India has announced a price hike by up to 3 per cent across all its models. It has also stated that this hike will be effective from the first week of January 2020. The reason for the price hike is the rising input and commodity costs.

Here’s the current price list of all the Mercedes-Benz models on sale in India:

GLA	Rs 32.33 lakh to Rs 38.64 lakh
GLA Urban Edition	Rs 34.84 lakh to Rs 41.51 lakh
GLC	Rs 52.75 lakh to Rs 57.75 lakh
GLC AMG	Rs 78.03 lakh
GLS	Rs 87.76 lakh to Rs 88.2 lakh
G-Class	Rs 1.5 crore

Other than Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai also announced a price hike and Nissan-Datsun models are also scheduled for a price revision that will be effective from January 2020. Unlike the luxury carmaker, Hyundai has not specified the exact figure by which the prices are expected to go up.

Meanwhile, the fourth-gen GLE is scheduled to be launched before the 2020 Auto Expo and Mercedes-Benz has officially opened bookings for the same. It is expected to be offered with BS6-compliant petrol and diesel engines mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission option.
