Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG launched at Rs. 1.26 crore

Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury carmaker has launched the SLK 55 AMG in the Indian car market for Rs 1.26 crore. The SLK 55 AMG is powered by a 5.5-litre V8 engine that churns out a maximum power output of 421bhp and 540Nm of peak torque. Power is transmitted to rear wheels via a responsive seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission. It takes only 4.6 seconds to cross 0-100kmph mark and has an electronically limited top speed of 250km/hr.

The automatic transmission paired with engine offers three intelligent driving modes- Controlled Efficiency (C), Sport (S) and Manual (M). The SLK 55 AMG comes equipped with AMG Sports suspension featuring torque vectoring brake and the AMG Direct-steer system.

The SLK 55 AMG comes equipped with all the bells and whistles, and the new AMG spec kit and black AMG wheels makes it look more aggressive than before. The vehicle sports the classic long bonnet and short tail roadster proportions. Inside the cabin, the SLK features unique AMG styling and trim inspired by the SLS. The vehicle now sports larger air intakes, redesigned rear bumper with a subtle boot spoiler, larger wheel arches and few others.

The SLK 55 AMG features include AMG body styling with exclusive SLK 55 AMG front and rear aprons and side skirts, AMG high-performance internally ventilated and perforated disc brakes, AMG sports suspension, COMAND online with 6 DVD changer with HARMON KARDON surround sound, ECO Stop-start function and others.
