Mercedes-Benz to Launch Fuel Efficient Vehicles

After the Motor Vehicle Tax System reforms by German Federal Government there is emerging a need for fuel efficient vehicles. Mercedes Benz has been continuously implementing lower fuel consuption and lower exhaust emissions combind with improved performance.
Mercedes Benz is able to offer its costumer particularly efficient vehicles in all segments of market as more than half of the vehicles that will be sold in 2009 will benifit from the new motor vehicle tax system. According to Dr. Dieter Zethche, Chairman of the board of management of Dailmer AG and head of Mercedes Benz cars the reform of motor vehicle tax system by German Federal Government has given consumers a renewed sense of assurance and restored their confidence.
A prime example of this is the new Mercedes Benz E 250 CDI. It gives 150 kw/204 hp and provides superior pulling power of 500 Nm, yet on an average it only consumes 5.3 litres of diesel per 100 km. This is a revoltion in the field of motor vehicle.
The new Mercedes Benz E 250 is cheaper compare to its predecessor E 280. As its(E 250) diesel consuption is 5.3 litres/km compare to 6.9 litres/km of E 280. The new E 250 CDI pulls ahead in all performance paramerers. Customers who are going to buy the new Mercedes E250 CDI will save 986 euros over the first three years compared to E 280.
In addition to the E250 Cdi the new four-cylinder diesel engine also power the E 200 CDI with 100 kw/136 hp and the E 220 CDI with 125 kw/170 hp, both of which also achieve fuel consumption of only 5.3 litres per 100 kilometers.
