Mercedes-Benz to unveil GLA at Frankfurt, Elantra facelift images revealed

Mercedes-Benz hasn’t just displaced Audi as the Number 1 in sales in July, but the company on a global level is preparing to introduce the GLA at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The GLA will compete with the X1 and Q3 in India and should land on our shores sometime in 2014. On the other hand, we get the facelift images of the Elantra. This sedan from Hyundai has been doing well for Hyundai and the Korean manufacturer has been extremely aggressive with all its products, hence without any delay we could soon see the facelift version.

Luxury car market still on a rise, Mercedes-Benz leads the sales
Despite the slowing economy and shrinking car market, the luxury car market is on a rise. Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Jaguar Land Rover and even Volvo have been growing this year as well. Mercedes-Benz has registered a growth of 22% in this fiscal year till July as the company sold about 4575 units, while JLR India has seen a growth of 68% in the last quarter. Volvo too has been witnessing a growth in its sales and Mr Tomas Ernberg had mentioned that the company has seen a growth of 50% in this year already. Read more

Mercedes-Benz to start local assembly of GL-Class this month
Mercedes-Benz India has recently launched the new GL-Class SUV in the Indian car market for Rs. 77.5 lakh. At the launch, the company also announced the local assembly for the vehicle later, but the vehicle initially came in the country via CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. Now, the German automaker is all set to start the CKD assembly of the GL350 CDI from 26th August, 2013, at the company's Chakan manufacturing Unit. Read more
