*waiting period might differ for select variants.
Jeep Compass: The Compass is not selling like hot cakes like it once used to. For this very reason, the Jeep SUV is available without a considerably long waiting period anywhere in the country. The longest one will have to wait to take delivery is a month in Lucknow. In most other cities, you can have a Compass in 10-15 days and if you reside in Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Gurgaon or Surat, you can take one home without any waiting period.
Tata Harrier: Tata’s Harrier was launched at the beginning of the year and did well in the initial period. However the arrival of MG Hector has seen sales of the Tata SUV drop. This has led to it being easily available throughout the country. The longest you will have to wait to take delivery of a Harrier is four to six weeks in Chandigarh. However, it can be had without any waiting period in most cities on the list.
MG Hector: The Hector has been the most sought after SUV in the segment and that is evident by its waiting period. The least you will have to wait to take delivery if you book a Hector now is three months and that is in Pune. The maximum waiting period one will face is in Kolkata, where it can take up to eight months to take delivery of the Hector. The average waiting on Hector is in the three to four month bracket. So if you have your heart set on the Hector, be prepared to wait it out. There is one up side though. MG recently started a new production shift at its factory in Halol and that will help in bringing the waiting period down.
Mahindra XUV500: This is the oldest SUV on the list, meaning demand for it is not at an all time high. The average waiting period for the XUV500 ranges between 10 to 20 days and the most anyone will have to wait for one is a month. If you live in New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Surat, Patna or Indore, you can have the XUV500 as soon as you’re done with the necessary paperwork.
Tata Hexa: The Hexa is the second Tata on the list and just like the Harrier, it's easily available throughout the country. The longest wait for a new Hexa will be faced by buyers in Chandigarh. Apart from that, the average waiting period in cities that have a waiting period for the Hexa is between one to three weeks. It can also be had without any wait in nine of the 20 cities on the list.
Hyundai Tucson: The Tucson is the least popular SUV on the list. So it’s no wonder that it can be had immediately in 11 out of the 20 cities on our list. In cities where the Tucson does command a waiting period, it can be had within one to three weeks, with the maximum being one month in Ghaziabad and Indore.
