M&M’s XUV 500 Crossover registers remarkable sales in March

Since the time Mahindra XUV 500 Crossover has been launched, it is climbing the ladder of success briskly. In February, there were long booking lists in waiting from which lucky draws were taken out for Mahindra XUV 500 Crossover. The company admitted that this SUV has received an overwhelming response from the consumers across the country. It is observed that the firm sold around 3196 units of Mahindra's SUV in March 2012. On other hand, D-Segment sedans (in the same price range as XUV 500) saw luke-warm sales figures in the last month. Chevrolet Cruze sold 722 units, Toyota Corolla Altis sold 917 units, Volkswagen Jetta sold 336 cars, Skoda Laura managed 597 units, Honda Civic touched 104 units sales mark and finally Renault Fluence sold 227 units of sale. Therefore, the total sales of D-segment sedan in March 2012 come to 2903 units which is still 200 less than what Mahindra XUV 500 Crossover units are.

Therefore, it suggests that a well-priced SUVs and Crossovers could do well than D-segment sedans. Another high point of Mahindra XUV 500 Crossover SUV is it’s on road capabilities.
