Hyundai India, the second largest passenger carmaker in the country is doing well in terms of sales and they have a decent market share as well. However, the automaker hasn't launched any mass appeal vehicle after its entry level car Hyundai Eon back in October 2011, their last vehicle launched in the country was the D segment sedan Hyundai Elantra.
At the moment, the carmaker is busy with the launch preparations of its Hyundai i10 diesel in the second quarter of the year, and in long term they are preparing to launch the next generation i10 and i10 based compact sedan.
There were also reports that Hyundai could launch i30 hatch in the country, but it doesn't make any sense, when they have i20 already in that segment, and in the price bracket it falls is acquired by the compact SUVs at the moment.
But a new TVC of the company, which is being aired now-a-days has started the debate again, this is about their campaign Live Brilliant and called 'Moment of Brilliance', in this TVC Hyundai i30 has been shown. However, the TVC doesn't say anything about the car's launch and it is not about Hyundai i30, instead it is to celebrate the spirit of Hyundai cars. But as the latest Maruti Suzuki TVC has shown the next gen WagonR, it might be an another preview of a car before its launch.
Nothing has been said officially on the car and we are also not claiming anything at all, its a mere possibility but if the car is coming to India, Hyundai has to work hard to pitch this car in the jam-packed and precisely priced premium hatchback segment.
