New Toyota Corolla Altis launched, starts at Rs10.53 Lakh

Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian subsidiary of Japanese Auto major Toyota Motors today launched the facelifted version of its premium sedan new Toyota Corolla Altis. New Toyota Corolla Altis price for petrol version varies from Rs 10.53 lakh to Rs 14.77 lakh and the diesel variant price goes from Rs 11.46 lakh to Rs 14.55 lakh. The New Toyota Corolla Altis was launched at an official function organized at Grand Hotel, Vasant Kunj in New Delhi by Hiroshi Nakagawa, Managing Director and Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Toyota Kirloskar Motor.

In terms of power under the hood, petrol variant of Toyota Corolla Altis is driven by the 1.8 litre petrol engine, which is increased to 1788 cc. The new Toyota Corolla Altis petrol now adorns latest Dual VVT-i system that comprises of two separate variable timing mechanisms for the exhaust and the intake valves. The engine is capable of generating 140PS @ 6400 rpm and up to 173Nm of torque.

Added with two new gearbox options, the old 5-speed manual shift gear will be switched with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed CVTi transmission (top-end petrol version).  The Toyota Corolla Altis diesel variant will come added with same 6-cog manual.However, adding one more star in the attributes of the car, new Toyota Corolla Altis offers 15.22 kmpl (petrol) and 21.45 kmpl (diesel) mileage which makes overall fuel efficiency quite high compared to older versions.
