Nissan doles out Rs 50k cash discount on Micra petrol to ramp up falling sales

The car makers are showering exuberant discounts during the festive season to squeeze out the maximum benefits from the riding sales, which is not uncommon during the festivals. Nissan India is not going to let go of this opportunity to rev up the falling sales of Nissan Micra petrol variant. The Japanese auto major has joined the bandwagon offering a Rs 50,000 cash discount on the petrol driven Nissan Micra.  The Nissan Micra petrol price for the base variant begins at Rs 3.6 lakhs..

Rs 50,000 is a monstrous sum considering the price of Rs 3.6 lakhs, which is obviously being offered to make up for the dipping sales of the petrol variant. And why not, Nissan had launched the Micra diesel recently. The Nissan Micra XL at Rs 3.6 lakhs is not a bad deal at all, as the auto major offers airbags and power steering as a standard including the base variant. The mid-variant Micra XE is offered at Rs 4.22 lakhs, which comes with an addition of power windows, music system and keyless entry retaining the XL features. As an icing on the cake, the top Micra XV variant comes with Anti- Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and two airbags for passenger and driver safety apart from the comfort features like automatic climate control and electrical mirrors at Rs 4.88 lakhs.

While loaded with features, the car offers good mileage of 18.06 kmpl on the highways, which is pretty decent by any standards. The hatchback fares up well in terms of interior space, visibility, easy handling and its compact size attributing to its ability to squeeze through the heavy traffic. The car comes affixed with a 1.2 L 80 Bhp power pumping petrol motor. Apart from the discounts, the auto major is offering to drive sales volumes in the country; Nissan is on the dealer network expansion spree.
