The Kuro Edition is offered on the one-below-top XV variants of the Magnite and can be had with both naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engine options.

The Nissan Magnite Kuro edition has been launched at a starting price of Rs 8.27 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition is in celebration of Nissan’s partnership with the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 as well as to capitalise on festive season sales and gets an all-black treatment. The Magnite Kuro edition is available on the one-below-top XV variants of the Magnite with both engine options and attracts a premium of Rs 46,000. Let’s see what it gets for the additional money.
Design Updates
On the outside, the Magnite Kuro gets an all-black colour option and black treatment all around the grille, ORVMs, front and rear skid plates, smoked LED headlamps, black alloy wheels with red brake calipers and a Kuro badging under the ORVMs.
On the inside, the standard Magnite already had an all-black cabin, but the Kuro edition takes it a step further. Apart from a black dashboard and black upholstery, the Kuro edition also gets black door trims, black door handles and blacked-out sun visors. It also gets gloss black bits on the steering wheel, AC vents and gear knob.
Feature Additions
The only feature addition on the Kuro edition is a wireless phone charger from the tech pack. Apart from it, the rest of the features are the same including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control and rear AC vents.

In terms of safety, it gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a 360-degree camera.
Powertrain Options
The Kuro edition can be had with both engine options of the Magnite. It gets two engines: a 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (72PS/96Nm) and a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine (100PS/160Nm). The turbo-petrol engine gets a 5-speed manual and a CVT option while the base petrol engine only comes with a 5-speed manual transmission.

However, Nissan will soon add an AMT option for the naturally aspirated petrol engine and we hope the Magnite Kuro edition will then also come with this transmission option.
Price & Rivals
The Nissan Magnite is one of the most affordable offerings in its segment and is priced between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 11.02 lakh (ex-showroom). It is a rival to the likes of Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and Renault Kiger.
