Nissan Micra Diesel launched in Kerala

Nissan Micra diesel car variant was launched in Kerala by Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL). Nissan Micra is a compact hatchback which is the first Indian manufactured car from Nissan's camp. The hatchback was inaugurated in Nissan Motors authorised dealership at EVM Nissan at Kochi.

Dinesh Jain, CEO, Hover Automotive Indian Private Itd (HAL), Nissan's strategic partner in the Indian auto market, revealed that, Since July, 2010, when the petrol car model of Nissan Micra was launched, the auto mobile makers were frequently asked about the diesel variant of the same. He further said that, the company is excited about the launch and the response has been extremely satisfying. The dealerships has been generating orders on the new variant. He added that, the company hopes to recreate the success of the Nissan Micra petrol version with the newly launched Nissan Micra Diesel car model.

Niki Desai, the Senior Manager in Regional Product management, NIMIPL, happily said that, the company has received outstanding response from the Kerala auto market. The Nissan Micra diesel model has already received 250 booking for its cars from Kerala. The company aims to curb the demand of its customers in the company's first year. Desai concluded that, the company expects that by March, the cars will be available as per the demand. Currently, the Petrol and Diesel variants together has a booking of 8,000 cars across India. The Nissan Micra diesel model has fuel efficiency of 23.08 kmpl, which is best among the available car models. The new diesel model is available in two variants Nissan Micra XV and Nissan Diesel XV Premium available in a price range of Rs 5.85 lakh to Rs 6.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The Nissan Micra Diesel is equipped with 1.5 litre CRDi, eight valves, also four cylinder powertrain, which offers a top power of 64 PS and maximum torque of 160 Nm. The car looks stylish is available in six wonderful colours.


The diesel variants is loaded with advanced features such as 15 inch alloy wheels, automatic AC, leather upholstery on gear knob and steering wheel, front fog light, push button ignition, front and rear power windows and much more.
