Nissan Motors visions to sell 80,000 cars by March, 2011

Nissan Motors, the Japanese automobile brand plans to sell as many as 80,000 units by the first quarter of 2011. The news came from a senior official of the company who stated the company looks for forward to sell 80,000 units by March, 2011.
Nissan sometime back inaugurated the company's new manufacturing facility at the Oragadam which is closer to the company's partner Renault. The company invested Rs 45 billion for seven year's time which at present manufactures Nissan Micra the hatchback, the plant has a capacity of almost 2 lakh units per year.
Kiminobu Tokuyama, Managing Director and CEO, Nissan Motors India, in the current financial year, the company aims at manufacturing 80,000 cars for the domestic as well as global auto markets. He made the announcement after unfolding the Nissan Micra diesel model. He added that, at present the Japanese auto mobile maker sells its cars in the Indian auto market and also ships the cars in the European car market.
In July, the Nissan Motors, started the manufacturing of the Nissan Micra for Indian and international auto market. As per the auto company executive said that, almost 6,000 units are sold in the Indian auto sector and round 15,000 cars in the international auto market. Other than, the growth, the auto company wishes to enhance the automobile exports to be more than USD 25 million.
Kiminobu, revealed the future plans , said that, the company will exhibit the saloon which is being developed on the same platform of Nissan Micra in the China International Auto Show on 21st December, 2010. He said that, the auto company plans to expand in its portfolio with the new sedan which will be first rolling out in China and later in India, probably by the second half of 2011.
Nissan Motors wishes to capture big in the global auto sector, as other than the above mentioned developments the company is also working with Ashok Leyland, the leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, on a Multi-Purpose vehicle which is expected to be entering the domestic car market by 2012.
Deepak Jain, CEO of Hover Automotive India, said that, the company has received an order of 8,000 units India since th launch of Nissan Micra in July. Mr Jain is responsible for the marketing and sales of Nissan cars in the Indian auto market.
