Nissan's upcoming sensation, Nissan Sunny is going to be launched at the Guanzhou Motor Show, 2010 starting this December in China. Codenamed L02B Nissan Sunny was unofficially showcased and sources say that the looks are similar to Nissan Micra. It is based on the V Platform and will be powered by 1.5 litre HR15 and 1.6 litre HR 16 engine and has the same oil burner as which powers Renault Logan. This new Nissan's C- segment car will be fuel efficient and will have boosted power.
Both Nissan and Renault have joint investment in their Chennai facility. Moreover, the joint venture Nissan-Renault share technology. Currently Nissan uses Renault's engine for its SUV Nissan X-trail. Codenamed K9K, this diesel powerplant is a 8-valve ,1.5 litre Dci engine and is Renault's most selling engine with almost 9,00,000 engine units manufactured in 2008 which are manufactured only in Spain and Turkey. This engine is available at different power ratings starting from 65 bhp to 110 bhp in other markets. The Nissan Micra Sedan dci engine generates a maximum power of 65 bhp and maximum torque of 160 Nm at 2000 rpm with.

Recently, Crossover Nissan Murano Cabriolet was displayed in Los Angeles Auto Show which received high appreciation from the visitors. In India, Nissan has inagurated its Field Quality Centre and Training Centre at its manufacturing facility at Oragadam (Chennai). The FQC is of around 650 sq mts which will include activities like Field Quality Investigation and Analysis and Joint Analysis to keep a check on the standards of Quality. The Training centre is of around 1500 mts area which will work to accomplish the Nissan's Training Standard Objectives. Customer handling and Customer Relationship tactics will be taught at the Training Centre.

Nissan is yet to come with many new vehicle in India to give a stiff competition to other automajors. Nissan has got a long list of cars to be launched next year which includes Nissan Sunny, Nissan Murano, Nissan Micra Diesel, Nissan NV200 and Nissan Qashqai. These additions of new cars would give Nissan a competetive edge and will make it more stable in the domestic market.
